Notes

From the Al Jaffee Junk Shop Collection. Gift from MAD to Al Jaffee for his 95th birthday party. This was the 3rd MSATSQ published in a MAD issue and “Office Saga” is the 1st Snappy Answers narrative published in a MAD issue. MAD had it matted & framed, with Al’s younger brother Harry Jaffee creating the lettering on the acetate overlay. Displayed at the NYC Society of Illustrators (and includes the display card from that exhibition). Photos to the right show it in Al’s studio. Also includes cardboard fragment from the original box that Al wrote on. Framed in museum glass.
