From the collection of Annie Gaines Ashton. Bought from HA. Varied media on bond & art-stock pages. In 1985, Gaines took a group of 25 of his closest staff & friends on a tour of Italy. As was the custom, the survivors produced a piece of personalized art or a letter to commemorate the experience (and give a backhanded loving homage to Bill Gaines) that were collected into a photo album ring-binder. The works were not intended for publication, and thus unthreatened by censorship or considerations of dainty tastes.
