From the collection of Annie Gaines Ashton. Bought from HA. Mixed media on Bristol board. The “MAD” title, logo, and Alfred are all stat paste-ups, there are spots of adhesive residue along the edges, and small pinholes. Signed & inscribed below the image by Mingo. On the back there is a smaller mock up done in graphite only and taped to the inside of the overlay cover, as well as a typed letter to Mingo letting him know that this piece would be his next paperback cover, both presumably sent to him by editor Al Feldstein.
